Assam cop held for `sexually assaulting` lady inside the Police station launched on bail

 TINSUKIA: A sub-inspector ranked officer of the Assam police, serving with the Sivasagar Sadar police station, has been arrested for allegedly “outraging the modesty” of a lady.

The accused sub-inspector – Rupjyoti Doley – allegedly sexually assaulted a lady, who changed into delivered for wondering on the Sivasagar Sadar police station in Assam.

The accused Assam police sub-inspector changed into arrested after the sufferer lady lodged an FIR in opposition to the cop on the equal police station.

Confirming the development, Superintendent of Sivasagar police in Assam – Subhrajyoti Bora stated: “Based on a grievance from a lady, who changed into delivered to the police station in a case wherein she is an accused, we've arrested an SI at the night time of December 31 after the nearby stage enquiry indicted him of outraging modesty of a lady.”

“The accused has been produced earlier than judicial court, which has launched him on bail,” the Sivasagar police leader added.

Bora stated that the incident took place at the night time of December 29 in the lady and kids chamber of the Sivasagar Sadar police station in Assam.

“The accused, who changed into the investigating officer in a case, wherein the lady changed into delivered to police station for wondering, kissed the lady.”

“Since the enquiry officer changed into her advanced officer, the lady constable couldn`t prevent him immediately and later she narrated the entire incident to different senior police officials,” Bora stated.

A case has been registered below phase 354/354(A) at Sivasagar police station in Assam in reference to this case.
